In a trip to the Welsh coastline, I came across this gate right down by the beach. The path behind it wound its way to the top of the hill in the background, which is the site of the ruins of an iron-age fort. Composing the image had three main components, the gate, the hill and the sky. Because the sky was quite interesting, and a lovely vibrant blue, I was able to include so much of it in the image. I moved around until I was able to place the gate on the lower-left third cross-section, with the hill on the upper-right, giving the image a feeling of balance.
All in all, a pleasing image, and walking up the hill lead to one of my favourite images, end of the road.
